ANSI B16.5 weld neck flanges are a type of pipe fittings which is used for connect two pipes. Weld neck flanges mean that the flanges have neck and or tube which is connect with pipe by butt welding. The flanges are widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, electricity, etc. The main difference between weld neck flanges and slip-on flanges is that weld neck flanges have a long neck. Compared with slip-on flanges, weld neck flanges are more suitable for inflammable or explosive medium.
