Alloy steel slip-on flanges are commonly used for low pressure low temperature pipes. The diameter of slip-on flanges is slightly larger than the outside diameter of the pipe. Slip-on flanges connect with pipe with a fillet weld at the top. Slip-on flanges have the advantages of less space and lower prices, compared with other types of flanges.
