ASTM A105 blind flange is used to the seal the end of piping system or prevent medium from flowing through which is different from lap joint flange. Blind flange is commonly used for pressure testing the flow of liquid or gas. It is convenient for installation on pipe for its structure. Blind flange is applicable for corrosive medium for its corrosion resistance. It can also be used under both high and low pressure.
